Overview

Vistra is seeking specialized Battlewatch Support personnel who is trained with a high degree of relevant and current knowledge and situational awareness of SOF activities as well as other human and geo-political issues affecting SOCSOUTH plans and activities.  If you are interested in finding more out about this proposed effort, please apply today. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Battle-watch Support Team:
  • Provide 24/7, 365 Battlewatch Support - for crisis and other significant, non-routine events. 
  •  Prepare briefings, staff coordination, and decision documentation on a daily basis.
  • Monitor, assess, and report the status of all SOF and friendly force current operations in the USSOUTHCOM AOR as operational missions are being conducted.
  • Provide real time operational status updates of all SOF and friendly deployed forces to the J33 Chief when requested.
  • Attends operational meetings as required to provide appropriate and timely operational information to the J33 staff.
  • Coordinate Command and Control (C2) status with the planning cells of the Future Operations Section.Provide support and initial response to crisis and appropriate notification across the spectrum of potential events (personal emergencies, physical security, natural disasters, and emergency or military contingencies) to command leadership.
  • Provide support with the planning and execution of SOCSOUTH COOP training or real world missions.

Qualifications

 

  • Shall possess a minimum of 3 years of AOR experience.
  • Shall possess a current SECRET or Interim SECRET security clearance.
  • Past military experience is highly desired
  • BA/BS degree preferred, but not required
  • Must be able to proficiently read, write, and speak English and write in proper, formal English grammar and sentence structure, in order to complete the research and written assignments associated with this contract.
  • Must meet at minimum Level 5 – “Advanced Proficient” based on the English Language Proficient Assessment (ELPA) or equivalent testing measure.
