    Vistra has an immediate opening for an Account Executive- Airport Advertising Sales in support of national airport markets as well as Dulles and Reagan airports to local companies based in the Washington D.C., Maryland and Virginia territories.

     

    POSITION OVERVIEW:

     

    Vistra is looking for a highly energetic advertising sales professional with a proven track record for success. The full-time Account Executive must have experience in advertising/media sales, have excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills. Applicants must be self-motivated with a desire to be highly successful. Applicants must also be detailed oriented and work well under pressure while meeting multiple deadlines for task including but not limited to generating leads, networking, developing relationships, communicating client strategies, and exceeding customer satisfaction.

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for meeting sales goals and generating revenue by selling airport related adverting, including static, digital, experiential and sponsorship opportunities directly to businesses and their represented agencies.
    • Generate leads and target prospective clients and requests meetings to make pitches and presentations. Makes cold calls to clients on behalf of our partners in order to solicit new business.
    • Responsible for maintaining client business relationships to ensure repeat business and expand existing business; create account plans for key accounts and execute against plans.
    • Prepares tailored proposals and presentations for each client. Negotiates competitive proposals with client, making modifications as necessary and arranging for contract signing.
    • Uses market research and knowledge to present advertising solutions, select media to be used, determine timing and placement of materials, and estimate costs that meets the client’s needs.
    • Negotiate fees or services with clients, with management approval.
    • Keep internal departments updated on sales progress and goals
    • Responsible for timely completion and submission of weekly call report, weekly pipeline report and airport status report.
    • Utilizes database of advertisers and agencies
    • All other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

    • 3-5 years experience in advertising/media sales with a proven track record for success
    • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Advertising, Marketing, Business, Communications from four-year College or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.      
    • Excellent organizational, leadership, interpersonal communication and computer skills
    • Detail-oriented and work effectively under pressure while meeting all applicable deadlines.
    • Must be able to work independently and productively with minimum supervision.
    • Ability to establish and maintain professional atmosphere for clients and customers
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and social networking platforms
    • Proficient in using a CRM system to maintain sales pipeline
    • Negotiation and closing proficiency
    • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages
    • Ability to interpret a variety of situations and instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
    • Must possess a valid driver’s license, dependable transportation, and a clean driving record
    • Limited out of town travel (less than 5% of business days) for periodic corporate meetings and industry events; 50% or more territory travel.
