    Vistra is seeking a Liaison Officer to join our team for a proposed effort in Ft. Meade, MD. 

    Responsibilities

    • As the USCENTCOM Cyber Liaison, works directly for the USCENTCOM Joint Cyber Center Director, and has daily interaction with the USCENTCOM staff.
    • Maintains a continuous liaison with CYBERCOM (National Security Staff, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Joint Staff, Military Services, Component Command Representatives, Interagency organizations, other service headquarters counterparts, and DOD offices.)
    • Represents USCENTCOM with the USCYBERCOM, (National Security Staff, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Joint Staff, Military Services, Component Command Representatives, Interagency organizations, other service headquarters counterparts, and DOD agencies.)
    • Maintain thorough knowledge of the JCC, as well as an understanding of how that impacts the other DOD or USG entities
    • Monitor, coordinate, and communicate JCC strategic objectives
    • Collaborate and communicate successfully with other entities outside of the JCC
    • Work with other staff members to develop a greater understanding of the JCC and any issues that arise
    • Develop and foster relationships with the Cyber community, stakeholders, and other entities
    • Collect, analyze, and utilize data and feedback to identify opportunities to improve the relationship between the JCC and the other DOD entities
    • Compile reports about particular incidents, events, or updates about important issue for the business
    • Proactively solve conflicts and address issues that could occur between the business and the other entity
    • Promptly respond to incidents and other events as necessary
    • Act as a positive representation of the JCC to the community

     

    Examples of specialized experience includes planning, gathering, organizing, and analyzing data, conducting assignments, as well as the ability to justify or resolve matters involving significant or controversial issues; applying mastery in developing new methods and approaches in planning, integrating and evaluating the overall strategic communications program; planning and directing the efforts of a collaborative staff; applying communication principles, methods, practices and techniques, analytical methods, and interpersonal relations practices that enable the incumbent to function as an authority on all things related to the roles, missions, and key processes relating to the organization.

    Qualifications

    - Knowledge of advanced management and organizational principles and practices, policy analysis, and intergovernmental affairs.
    - Knowledge of directives, regulations, and procedures for processing staff actions.
    - Knowledge of military command structure, missions, programs, and organizational relationships plus a thorough knowledge of staffing standards covering complex programs.
    - Skill in interacting with individuals at all levels of the federal government.
    - Skill in oral and written communications.
    - Ability to plan, gather, organize, and analyze data, conduct assignments, as well the ability to justify or resolve matters involving significant or controversial issues.
