    Vistra Communications has an opening for a Program & Policy Support Analyst for a proposed effort in the Pentagon, Arlington, VA. 

     

    Personnel supporting this effort shall  provide a program and policy support for variety of tasks to assist with strategic-level analysis to inform U.S. Government (USG) decision-making. Must possess the ability to communicate effectively with senior management, to include general and flag officers and members of the Senior Executive Service (SES) within DoD, and in other USG agencies (and/or equivalent industry levels) regarding highly technical issues related to national security.   

     

    Security Clearance Required: TS/SCI  

    Responsibilities

    • Conduct assessments of changes to the international political-military environment and the potential impacts on DoD and USG efforts to counter global drug trafficking and other illicit threat network activities that threaten U.S. national security
    • Provide advice and recommendations to USG decision makers regarding the implications of existing or proposed changes to USG international agreements, military sales, security cooperation investments, and similar activities on CD/CTOC policies and
    • Analyze national security policy issues related to DoD support of National Drug Control Program objectives, identify stakeholder equities, and assist USG personnel in developing responsive CD/CTOC programs in coordination with other OSD offices, the Joint Staff, CCMDs, Military Departments, Defense Agencies USG Intelligence Community, other USG Departments, and S. and foreign law-enforcement partners.
    • Provide decision-support assistance to ODASD (CN&GT) USG personnel by analyzing ongoing and proposed CCMD and Defense Agency CD/CTOC programs and activities and making recommendations, based on USG guidance, for investment or other programmatic changes 

    Qualifications

    • Shall possess a master’s degree from an accredited college/university in a field of study relevant to the expertise commensurate with each position as
    • Shall possess ten (10) years’ experience providing services to senior general/flag officer ranks and/or SES levels within the DOD, other government agencies, or industry corporate
    • Shall demonstrate prior experience and capabilities for the successful execution of tasks associated with specific duty positions/focus areas (e.g., legislative, budget, ).
    • Shall possess exceptional oral and written communication skills, and the ability to translate highly technical information into plain language for effective communication with DoD and other USG staff in the performance of all duties, tasks and services.
    • May requrie travel both CONUS & OCONUS
